Iceman Con Sketch by davidyardin Iceman Con Sketch by davidyardin
Did this at Perth Supanova on the weekend. I was a bit annoyed the person I did it for didn't collect it, especially since I was turning other people who wanted sketches away. Oh well, I ended up selling it cheap to a woman who waited around all day for a sketch.

He actually looks like a man made of ice and not a man covered in ice.

I was flat out in Perth too, probably more so than Sydney since I was by myself. It was a good crowd and really good turn out on both days. Chaykin, Jusko, and Templesmith made it a blast too, those guys were a riot.

The trick to getting them to return is to take payment in advance.

Nicely done.

Yeah I know. I was taking advance payment in Sydney, but I had helpers there to sell all my other stuff and talk to the fans so I knew I could get through a certain amount of sketches for sure. In Perth I was by myself and was getting interrupted quite a bit, so I didn't ask for payment in advance.

It's all good though, it sold in the end so I'm happy. I probably could have got full price for it too, but I let the woman who bought it get it cheap, because she had been waiting so long.

They got on the list on Saturday and said they'd pick it up on Sunday since I didn't get around to theirs by the end of Sat, but I didn't even see them on Sunday, so maybe something else came up. I can't be too hard on the guy, things happen.

Yeah, I feel sorry for the guy if he didn't even get to see this pic... Maybe something did come up. I know all too well emergencies or accidents only seem to happen when you have other plans.
