Pencils and inks by me . Colours by (I think) Rainier Beredo (Rain?), based roughly off my coloured thumbnail.
While I was doing coloured thumbnails on Ms Marvel, at the layout/approval stage, they weren't intended as colour guides, they were more for my own visualisation. Rain would usually come with something different to what I had in mind (but still cool) for the final version.
On this cover we weren't sure if Rain was going to be able to fit us in schedule-wise, so I asked if we could keep the rough colours I had done, since it was based on some colour schemes from some old pulp covers (which is what we were going for), and I had envisioned it with the old style logo, and text as a whole (not sure if the text is still being added to the final version).
In the end it looks like we got Rain (I assume), and my guides were used too (I hope it wasn't too restrictive, or stepping on anyone's toes).
MS. MARVEL #34
Written by BRIAN REED Penciled by ADRIANA MELO & PAULO SIQUEIRA Cover by DAVID YARDIN
Carol Danvers is fighting a one-woman war against the CIA, and her only ally is... Spider-Man?! Spidey stumbles into Carol's world of international espionage and may not come out in one piece.
I like that it almost needs a double take to notice her suit beneath the street clothes and that she's fallen into the spotlight of the streetlight.
A very atmospheric piece.
