V Energy Drinkby ~davidyardin

A little something different this time around. I did this for V Energy Drink since they were the sponsor of the Marvel Street Art Event in Melbourne a few weeks back. The brief was to "Marvel-ize" their logo/can... but without using any Marvel characters.

Yeah I know.

I've gotta admit I was drawing blanks on what exactly I was going to do with this brief at first, but in the end I went with some comic book sound effects (and tried to keep them Marvel related). A bit cliché but I think it works as a can of drink. Red Bull gives you wings... V gives you super powers!!!

Since I drink at least 3 cans of v every day, this got my attention.. Then i went and checked out your gallery, and wow, your art is great.

This looks very 'marvelized' with those sounds effects, especially if you know which characters they come from. I'm guessing that bamf = nightcrawler, snikt = wolverine, thwip = spiderman, but no idea about pow or boom though.. maybe thor goes boom

I think the current 'classic' green v can design is a hard one to beat though.

Thanks. The "boom" and "pow" were my initial sound effects, then I added the more Marvel specific ones after.

The blue was my first attempt, just me experimenting with colours. They then asked me to make it green like the regular drink.
