Love the retro cover. These were also the comics I grew up with. Great cover. I want to get the issue just for the cover.

You sure did get your 90's vibe on. Man does Scattershot SCREAM 90s. Though, he needs more belt pouches.

Peter David and Leonard Kirk created Scattershot. I think he had more pouches on his other leg in Leonard's design.

Wow, this cover really reminds me of the old 90's vibe, especially with the long hair and a bunch of faces on the side. :D

Causing 90's comics nostalgia in a guy who didn't read 90's comics - you're good ;)

On more serious note, an awesome old-schoolish cover! :+fav:

Man, I've gotta keep pushing in new directions, or I'd get bored of doing the same routine covers.

I think Shatterstar needs about double the teeth...

No, but seriously, PURE AWESOMENESS. I've been waiting for this cover ever since you mentioned it would be 90's-tastic (perhaps not in so many words...) and it definitely lives up to the hype.

to me the most comics that suck were the ones touched by rob liefeld.
while he has gotten better it hard to ditch that statement a rob liefeld character without shoulder pads is almost naked.

He was during the Externals storyline, mutants that were immortal, Cannonball is one (though may have just dropped that all together) But Crule was a big purple looking dude, like an orc with a big ponytail haha

I don't see the 90's reference anywhere but in the logos and fonts. And pouches.
They should have put a CCA batch on it, then I'd believe it. :)

Cool! It'd be nice if you went back in time and took Jim Lee's place, the 90s art would've been better :P

Although those comics were all over the place and just a few caught my attention, i always had my eyes in the 80s.Good times, good times...

Jim Lee is one of the major reasons I even began collecting comics, along with Scott Williams and my mentor Whilce Portacio. You'll never hear me speak badly of their 90's art.

Did'nt mean to offend ya or anything, really :)

Well he obviously inspired every single kid to persue the dream, me included, and he's a wonderful storyteller. He was so big, that one of the guys that i loved to read, Marc Silvestri, adapted his art for the current market...But I'm not a fan of his style :P

Very retro. There's one thing you failed to do in a 90's style though: Terrible artwork. Your drawing is too damned good to be a 90's piece. Ha ha ha. I will note the 1001 pouches rule though, ha ha. Brilliant work, David.
