X-Men: DWS 2 - Magik Overlays by davidyardin X-Men: DWS 2 - Magik Overlays by davidyardin
Another image from our Magik story in X-Men: Divided We Stand #2. These were used as overlays on pages 3 & 4, where Illyana conjured up the images in her obsidian scrying glass.

pretty cool stuff, David. I loved those old Belasco stories when they first appeared. I remember how freaked out I was when I say Sym picking his teeth with one of Wolverines claws. lol

He then threw the claw into Collossus' shoulder and was chasing the X-Men around through those Netherworld caves like scared children... :wow:

Those depictions were pretty harmless by todays standards... you're Belasco is incredible.

Thanks. I only got to read the stories through the B&W Essentials TPB's.

Kewl. By-the-way, I like your new avatar. The old one kinda reminded me of the homosexual flag that the gays use...

Not that there's anything wrong with people being homosexual—hell, I wish more guys were; so's that I could get a date...

 Yeah the Mauritian flag is just two colours away from the homosexual flag, and that's the second time someone has made a comment about it. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your perspective ) I'm not gay, nor available.

kewl. kewl.

I just reread my comment

"Not that there's anything wrong with people being homosexual—hell, I wish more guys were; so's that I could get a date..."

I can see how someone might think I was gay by reading that... but what I was trying to suggest was that if more guys were gay- there'd be more women available for slobs like me...

Not that it's a big deal one way or another!

I just don't want you to think I'm after you like that for next time we meet.

I like drawing Colossus... actually anyone shiny I find cool to draw i.e. Silver Surfer, Ice Man. I like the linework I can get away with on their skin surface, or costumes.

Prints of these would be cool, but unfortunately, I don't make prints of work paid for by my employers.

wow, you're a first=] i can appreciate the reasoning behind it. Who is youre absolute favorite to draw? If you could every day all day draw this character, who would that be?

These were great! They didn't quite get the justice they deserved in the book being so subtle.

Yeah I know. The amount of work put in them was a little overkill for the amount of real estate we used them in.
