You know it always strikes me as weird when someone sees an influence in my work that I just don't see. It's a bizarre thing, all these unique perspectives we each get, from viewing the same piece of art.
While Lan and I have interchanged roles on each others books before, I actually think we are very different artists. Not jarringly so, but especially after having been privy to some of his pencils, layouts, and designs, the differences are more stark to me, than any superficial similarities. Props to Lan though, as I think he is a more solid, and well rounded artist than me.
